Only fog?

One of the stereotypes associated with the city of Milan is that we've got solo la nebbia - nothing but fog. Ok, during the winter months 9 times out of 10 it's true, but some days you see beautiful blue skies - such as today. I left the house around 8am this morning wrapped up in my winter coat and boots, thinking it was going to be a typical November day. By lunchtime I was sweating in 20 degree heat!

You think you know your adopted city, and somehow it still manages to surprise you!

I was so surprised when after three months of living in Milan I discovered that the Alps were visible from the end of my road ... except that on most days they weren't!
